Russia’s Lavrov Calls Accusations of Moscow’s Involvement in Leipzig Drone Incident ‘Start of Real War'

Germany concluded on September 1 that Russia was responsible for an attempted drone attack at Leipzig/Halle Airport and subsequently took retaliatory measures, including closing a consulate and cultural center in Berlin. Russia, however, dismissed the accusations as unfounded, alleging Berlin's attempts to frame Russia through planted evidence.

The Moscow Times, a Russian news outlet, has been labeled an "undesirable" organization by Russia's Prosecutor General's Office, effectively criminalizing its operations and risking its staff's prosecution. This move is seen as an attempt to suppress independent journalism in Russia.
