Robinson throws 3TDs, Albert has 3 INTs and Anderson wins in his Southern Miss head-coaching debut

Steven Robinson rushed for three touchdowns and intercepted three passes, leading Southern Miss to a dominant 49-3 victory over Alcorn State. The game marked Blake Anderson's first head-coaching win with the Golden Eagles. Robinson completed the scoring with three short scoring runs on 23 carries for 123 yards. Kobi Albert's three interceptions fell just shy of the school record set by Larry Ussery in 1967.

The Braves scored their lone points via a Kenyon Bowyer field goal before Anderson's team took control. Ethan Hampton connected with Mario Sanders for a 38-yard touchdown pass and Jamarice Wilder contributed a 2-yard score while Ethan Hampton also added 180 passing yards with a touchdown. Wilder ran for 90 yards and two touchdowns, while Sanders gathered 94 receiving yards.

Southern Miss amassed a total of 543 yards offense and recorded five takeaways on defense. Alcorn State will next host Arkansas-Pine Bluff, while Southern Miss faces Auburn.
