Police arrest 10 suspects in Delta, recover illicit drugs

Delta State Police Command's Anti-Cult Unit (CACU) has apprehended ten individuals and seized illicit substances in Owhelogbo Community, Isoko North Local Government Area. The arrests occurred on September 4th, 2026, around 9:30 PM. The Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Bright Edafe, confirmed the development in a statement released on Sunday.

Edafe revealed that the Anti-Cult Unit, operating under the Ozoro branch, acted on intelligence about a suspect linked to an arson case in August. The operation targeted a brothel in Abbi, where the suspect was allegedly hiding. During the raid, seven females and three males were taken into custody. The authorities recovered illicit drugs, including Tramadol, Swinol, Canadian Loud, and suspected Indian hemp.

Ongoing profiling of the suspects will determine their fate, with those deemed responsible facing prosecution.
