No. 14 BYU forces 4 turnovers in 63-7 rout of Utah Tech

PROVO, Utah (AP) — Bear Bachmeier spearheaded No. 14 BYU's dominant 63-7 victory over Utah Tech, throwing for 198 yards and three touchdowns before halftime. Leggend Glasker contributed to the rout, scoring twice as a freshman and accumulating 65 receiving yards, his first collegiate touchdown. BYU, which has not lost to an opponent outside the FBS since 1960, imposed their control from the opening play.

Therian Alexander III intercepted a pass on the Trailblazers' first drive, setting up BYU's first touchdown via a 9-yard sweep. Glasker secured another score two plays later with a 26-yard touchdown reception. The Cougars continued their relentless offensive effort with Bronson Barben contributing 115 passing yards and an interception before being replaced by CJ Tiller.

Despite Tiller's 20 passing yards and two interceptions, BYU maintained their advantage, scoring two more touchdowns before halftime. The Cougars further extended their lead with 12:30 remaining in the third quarter, tallying 413 total yards in the span. Utah Tech's defense struggled, allowing at least 50 points in two consecutive games for the first time since 2024.
