Muslim World League condemns Israeli ministers’ remarks on Palestinian displacement

The Muslim World League has vehemently objected to remarks made by Israeli ministers advocating for the forced displacement of Palestinians from Gaza. National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir and Defense Minister Yisrael Katz were cited in the League's condemnation, which also included discussions of methods to remove Palestinians from their homeland.

In a statement from its General Secretariat, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa, the League's leader, denigrated these unacceptable remarks, highlighting their alignment with Israel's persistent breaches of international and humanitarian laws and norms in the West Bank. Al-Issa stressed the vital importance for the global community to meet its legal and ethical obligations by promptly ceasing all Israeli transgressions and endeavors to alter demographic or geographical conditions in the occupied Palestinian territories.

The League warmly endorsed a joint declaration from the foreign ministers of Saudi Arabia, Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, Indonesia, Pakistan, Turkey, Qatar, and Egypt, which underscored their unwavering support for the Palestinian people and their right to establish an independent state, as outlined in the two-state solution and pertinent international resolutions, as the sole means to attain equitable and enduring peace in the region.
