Lavrov warns Germany moving towards war with Russia

Germany accused Russia after a drone carrying an explosive device was found at Leipzig airport, but Russia denied the claim, blaming Berlin for planting evidence. In response, Moscow has been increasing its confrontational rhetoric and pressure on the West, while Lavrov is known for his combative style. Germany's Chancellor Friedrich Merz reportedly said Russia was essentially declaring war on them.

In retaliation, Russia announced it would close German cultural institutes. European Union officials have warned that Russia's escalating hybrid attacks pose a significant strategic threat to the bloc.
