Islamabad police told to implement all security SOPs

ISLAMABAD: The capital's police supervisors have been instructed by the Islamabad police chief to fully implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) aimed at thwarting any possible security threats. At a strategic commanders' meeting at the Central Police Office, Chief Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi emphasized the need to reinforce security measures at crucial and sensitive locations.

He also emphasized the importance of adhering to all security protocols and adopting proactive steps to tackle any potential dangers. Rizvi directed all officers to consistently monitor the security landscape in their jurisdictions and guarantee a prompt and efficient reaction to any crises. The overall law and order scenario in the capital, law enforcement, citizens' safety and property, security measures, crime prevention, and public service delivery were assessed during the conference.

Officers reported on departmental and field unit performance, ongoing anti-crime initiatives, and the current security atmosphere. Proposals for effectively tackling ongoing obstacles and enhancing policing standards were also exchanged. The Inspector General of Police directed officers to employ an efficient and synchronized operational approach for maintaining law and order and curbing crime.

He instructed a heightened police presence in the field, intensified action against criminal entities, and an intensified focus on enhancing public services. Rizvi highlighted the police's primary objectives, which include upholding the rule of law, safeguarding citizens' lives and property, and providing a secure and tranquil environment.

He reiterated the police's commitment to delivering superior services to citizens through innovative, efficient policing, improved operational strategies, and a fortified command-and-control framework.
