Influencer Swatantra Bhardwaj sent to one day judicial custody

Swatantra Bharadwaj, a self-proclaimed influencer, was sentenced to one day of judicial custody by a Delhi court on Sunday. This occurred after his arrest on Friday and subsequent one-day police custody. Bharadwaj was accused of attacking the father of a student protester at Jantar Mantar in Delhi during a protest by the Cockroach Janta Party against a paper leak issue.

The court heard that Bharadwaj was brought to Delhi from Bulandshahr and produced at a judge's residence around 2 pm on Saturday. In the meantime, the prosecution requested 14 days of judicial custody, which will be decided by the Sessions Judge. Meanwhile, a fresh medical report has been presented, and several sections under the SC/ST Act have been invoked in the ongoing FIR.

Bharadwaj's legal team, including advocate Umesh Sharma, argued that his life is in danger due to political pressure, and they plan to bring this issue to the attention of the Chief Justice and relevant authorities.
