Images of Gauri Lankesh murder accused with Police Commissioner shared on social media

Images of suspected Gauri Lankesh murder suspect Amit Baddi and narcotic offences accused Khet Singh Rajpurohit were shared on social media alongside Police Commissioner Borase Bhushan Gulabarao, according to reports. The duo were photographed during a visit to welcome Gulabarao to his new role as Police Commissioner in Hubballi-Dharwad a few days ago.

However, the Commissioner's office vehemently denied any link between the police and the alleged criminals. They clarified that over 200 citizens had visited the Commissioner's office to congratulate him on his appointment, and it was during this large gathering that photographs were taken of individuals with criminal backgrounds.

The Commissioner's office emphasized that the presence or images of these persons should not be interpreted as any association with the Police Department. They reaffirmed their commitment to impartial and strict action against crime and criminals.
