I don’t have a favorite actor because I’m better than them all —Pete Edochie

Veteran actor Pete Edochie has expressed that he does not have a favorite actor because he considers himself superior to all of them. During a conversation on the Curiosity Made Me Ask podcast, Edochie was asked to name his favorite actor but refused to do so, stating that he considers himself bigger than all of them. The actor also addressed the claims of other industry members who believe they are older than him, stating that he has never felt the need to respond to such assertions.

When questioned about those who considered themselves to be on the same level as him, Edochie challenged them to come forward and openly declare their stance. His remarks come in the wake of Yemi Solade's previous claim that he began acting before Edochie, describing the veteran actor as a senior colleague. However, Edochie did not specifically address Solade by name during the discussion.

When asked about being referred to as a legend, Edochie expressed uncertainty about the term's meaning but appreciated the recognition, stating that he is glad to be celebrated. Edochie also revealed that he had already established a career before entering the acting industry and eventually retired as a Director of Programmes.
