How Detectives Cornered Suspected Mastermind in Motorcycle Theft Syndicate in Meru

A suspected mastermind in a motorcycle theft and robbery-with-violence syndicate based in Meru County has been apprehended by detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) Mutuati. The arrest was made following an intelligence-led operation in Ngitana, Mutuati Sub-County. Evans Munene Kinyua, also known as "Mutharimi," is believed to be the key player and mastermind behind the syndicate responsible for motorcycle theft and violent robbery in Meru and surrounding areas.

Although Kinyua had managed to evade the authorities in the past, investigators finally located him in Ngitana, leading to his arrest. The operation resulted in the recovery of a red Captain Max motorcycle, which is suspected to have been stolen. The motorcycle has been secured as evidence, with detectives working to establish its ownership and the circumstances surrounding its alleged theft.

This recovery may also yield leads as they investigate potential connections to other reported theft or robbery cases in the region. Kinyua is currently in police custody while detectives continue their investigation into the activities of the suspected criminal network. The DCI emphasized that the arrest is part of their ongoing efforts to disrupt criminal organizations and recover stolen property.
