Hamilton wants written rules of engagement at Ferrari after Leclerc clash

Lewis Hamilton has called for Ferrari to establish written rules of engagement to prevent future incidents on the track. The clash between Hamilton and teammate Charles Leclerc during the Italian Grand Prix was costly for the Red Bull driver, as he crashed heavily at the end of the second lap. Hamilton was forced off into the gravel, dropping from fourth to 10th place after the pair raced too hard on the opening lap.

Leclerc admitted that the pair pushed too hard, but Hamilton insisted that Ferrari lacks written rules of engagement, which he believes is the root of the problem. Hamilton is now 76 points behind Mercedes' championship leader Kimi Antonelli, who won the race, and is frustrated with the team's performance, which he feels is subpar compared to other teams.

He expressed his disappointment for the loyal fans who turned out in record numbers for the Italian Grand Prix, despite Ferrari's poor showing. Mercedes' former champion and current Sky Sports pundit, Nico Rosberg, backed Hamilton's assessment, stating that Leclerc should have given Hamilton room to pass.
