Falcons ready for 14-nation S'hail flight

The tenth Katara International Hunting and Falconry Exhibition, S hail 2026, kicks off tomorrow at Katara Cultural Village, featuring an unprecedented international lineup of 14 nations and 155 exhibitors. This diverse event, stretching beyond Qatar's Gulf base, spans five days from September 9 to 12.

Participating countries include Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, Lebanon, Pakistan, Turkiye, Poland, France, the United Kingdom, Portugal, Spain, Russia, and South Africa. The exhibitor list features 155 companies and institutions, showcasing products and services ranging from falconry gear and hunting equipment to camping essentials and cutting-edge field technology.

S hail has evolved into a significant professional exhibition, uniting hunting, falconry, heritage, culture, commerce, and tourism under one roof. This legacy Qatar aims to protect and pass on, while adapting to global market trends.

Visitors can explore the latest equipment, compare technologies, and purchase hunting gear and falcons on-site. The exhibition also features a falcon auction, competitions for best falcon hood, most striking pavilion, best garage, and best falcon verse, as well as live visual art depicting wilderness and hunt scenes. The Metrash app offers new visitor services, including online hunting weapon licence applications, weapon exchanges, and ammunition sales.

The event is supported by the Social and Sport Contribution Fund (DAAM) and various national institutions and companies, bolstering its position as a leading regional and international platform.
