Expert says Max Eberl’s public statements on desired sales didn’t hurt Bayern Munich

Instead, the club's strategic communication allowed interested parties to be well-informed about its sporting plans. Palhinha returned to Benfica, Zaragoza moved to Espanyol on loan, and Boey remained the lingering issue after Bayern Munich spent much of the summer searching for a resolution. Reschke concluded that Eberl's comments were almost certainly part of a deliberate strategy rather than an impulsive decision.
