CAF Competitions. NFF praises Nigeria’s representatives for impressive performances

Acting General Secretary of the Nigeria Football Federation, Dr. Emmanuel Ikpeme, has expressed admiration for Edo Queens, Rivers United, Shooting Stars, and El-Kanemi Warriors for their outstanding performances in CAF competitions. Edo Queens recently secured the WAFU B Women’s Champions League title in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso, defeating Ghana's Ampem Darkoa Ladies 4-1 on penalties after a 2-2 draw in regulation time.

This victory earned them a place in the upcoming CAF Women’s Champions League finals. Ikpeme expressed pride in Edo Queens' achievement, acknowledging the challenging competition they faced. He also commended Rivers United for their 1-1 draw against FC San Pedro of Côte d’Ivoire, and praised Shooting Stars and El-Kanemi Warriors for their wins in CAF Confederation Cup matches.

Ikpeme expressed confidence in Shooting Stars' ability to handle CS Sfaxien in the return leg in Tunisia, and urged El-Kanemi Warriors to maintain their focus ahead of their trip to Guinea-Bissau. He also encouraged Enugu Rangers to secure the necessary result to qualify for the second round in Benin Republic.
