Arab Parliament chief condemns Israeli plans to displace Gazans

Mohammed Al-Yamahi, the Speaker of the Arab Parliament, strongly denounced Israeli government statements regarding the planned displacement of Palestinians from Gaza. In a press conference in Cairo, he labeled these remarks as a war crime and a crime against humanity. Al-Yamahi stated that the plan to uproot Palestinians from their land constitutes ethnic cleansing and a serious escalation against their rights.

He emphasized that such actions would alter the demographic landscape of the occupied Palestinian territories, eradicating the national cause of Palestinians and imposing new geographical realities.

Al-Yamahi urged the UN Security Council and the international community to take immediate action to prevent any attempts to displace Palestinians or modify the demographic makeup of the region. He called for deterrent measures against those responsible for making such statements and plans. The Arab Parliament chief assured that his body would persist in its endeavors to expose these displacement and ethnic cleansing schemes and garner global parliamentary support for Palestinian rights.

These rights include self-determination and the establishment of an independent, sovereign Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital.

Al-Yamahi firmly reiterated that peace can only be attained through the end of the occupation, allowing the Palestinian people to exercise their rightful claims under international law.
