Antonelli takes stunning Monza win from 19th on grid

Kimi Antonelli, starting in 19th place, stunned the field with a dominant win at the Italian Grand Prix, extending his championship lead to 66 points. The performance was remarkable, as it marked the second furthest back a driver has ever started to win a grand prix. Antonelli closely chased his team-mate George Russell, who began the race second on the grid.

Late in the race, with fresh tyres, Antonelli closed the gap to Russell and overtook him to claim victory. His fans, typically supporting Ferrari, celebrated the Italian's sensational drive. The day started with Antonelli starting from the back of the grid due to a penalty for using more than his allowed number of engine parts. An early cautious lap saw Antonelli move up to 12th place after an incident involving Charles Leclerc.
