The airline explained that volcanic ash poses a significant threat to aircraft safety, prompting a shift to selected alternative services where the route may be affected.

AirAsia has informed all affected passengers about flight statuses and options available to them, and is working to ensure travelers can continue their journey safely on the next available flight, according to Bernama. The airline urges passengers who are departing for or returning from the affected destinations to check the latest flight status before traveling.

AirAsia continues to monitor Anak Krakatau volcano activity and will update travel advisories as operations resume normally. Meanwhile, the Indonesian Transportation Ministry announced 209 cancelled flights due to the temporary closure of Soekarno-Hatta International Airport caused by Anak Krakatau volcano's volcanic ash.
