A proud Jim Mora revels in his son’s Colorado State debut during a 35-13 win over Wyoming

Fort Collins, Colo. (AP) — 91-year-old coach Jim Mora reveled in the scene from the back of the room as he donned a Colorado State hat and shirt. The elder Mora watched his son’s coaching debut for the Rams with great pride, leading the team to a 35-13 victory over Wyoming. Before the game, the father admitted feeling nervous and uneasy, but his confidence grew as the Rams pulled away in the second half.

He knew his son would succeed, having learned valuable lessons from him. Both men have extensive football experience, with the younger Mora coaching in the NFL for the Atlanta Falcons and Seattle Seahawks, as well as NCAA jobs at UCLA, UConn and Colorado State. The elder Mora, a longtime NFL head coach and USFL executive, is excited to share the victory with his family, who all played football in some capacity.
