4 ahli keluarga, 2 malim gunung dikhuatiri hilang
Keseluruhan enam individu yang hilang itu sepatutnya keluar hutan pada 3 Sept.
On August 29, four family members and two mountain guides were feared lost after entering the forest via Pos Dakoh, Gua Musang. Gua Musang Police Chief Sik Choon Foo stated that the family reported their disappearance to him today, after they failed to leave the forest according to their scheduled departure date of September 3. According to a search conducted with the Department of Forestry, the last known location of the group was in the Perak forest area, before the connection was lost.
"Currently, we are dealing with the Perak authorities for confirmation as, based on the last known connection, they are located in the Perak forest area and no longer in the Kelantan area," he told Bernama. The group had a permit to enter the forest and used the services of two mountain guides. He said that the group entered the forest via Pos Dakoh and was scheduled to leave at Pos Kemar, Perak.
"For now, we have not initiated a search in Kelantan as the search indicates they have crossed the state border. We are only ready to assist if there is any development or confirmation that they are in the Kelantan area," he said. The police also verified information related to the vehicles used by the group, including the possibility of them using rented vehicles or transportation provided by the mountain guides.
