2027: You’ll be held accountable for wasting Oyo resources on presidential ambition – APC tackles Makinde

The Oyo State chapter of All Progressives Congress (APC) has declared that Governor Seyi Makinde will be held accountable for all the state resources spent on his presidential ambition. This stern warning was issued in a statement released by the party's Publicity Secretary, Wasiu Sadare.

Governor Makinde is set to contest for the presidency as the candidate of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM). However, the Oyo APC has labeled his presidential ambition as a mere charade, suggesting that he lacks the necessary qualities to lead Nigeria. The party insists that following his tenure, Makinde will be required to account for all the state funds he expended on his presidential endeavor.

The statement further notes that Makinde is well aware of the complexities involved in contesting for the Nigerian presidency. Despite lacking the personal attributes, experience, and strategic acumen required for such a role, Makinde continues to parade himself as the presidential candidate of the APM. The statement asserts that Makinde's political journey has been fraught with failures from the outset, and he will be compelled to reimburse the public funds he has wasted on this futile endeavor.
