Yemeni armed forces fully liberate Hays district from Houthi control

Yemeni armed forces, along with joint units, have fully liberated the Hays district in Hodeidah province from the control of Iran-backed Houthi militias, according to a military source speaking to the Yemeni News Agency (SABA). While the city of Hays had already been liberated, the district's rural areas had remained under Houthi control until today.

The forces successfully regained and secured all rural areas, marking the complete liberation of the Hays district. The source revealed that the armed forces pushed back towards Houthi positions, resulting in the retreat and defeat of the militants, with dozens of them killed or wounded. The military source confirmed to SABA that the forces are continuing their efforts to secure the liberated areas and reinforce their positions following the full liberation of the Hays district.
