White House launches ‘arcade’ website featuring games based on ICE raids, MAHA movement

The White House recently unveiled a new "arcade" website featuring five video games that draw inspiration from the Trump administration's policies. Among the offerings is a Tetris-inspired game called "Build the Wall," which tasks players with defending the border against an encroaching "horde" and preventing a "zombie border siege." The objective involves stacking colorful bricks while green and orange figures, symbolizing individuals attempting to cross the border, attempt to traverse the screen.

The Tetris Company, however, was quick to clarify that they had no involvement in the creation of "Build the Wall." In a statement on their official X/Twitter account, the company emphasized that they take copyright infringement very seriously and believe in the power of connection, not division.

Another game on the arcade site, "Rio Run," seems to be inspired by the Trump administration's efforts to curb illegal immigration along the Rio Grande River, which forms part of the Texas-Mexico border. Players, depicted as a pixelated figure dressed in a suit and tie, are tasked with patrolling the line along the river and picking up every "crosser" who enters the lot. The game's score tallies the number of figures "deported," as each "crosser" is represented in an orange, prison-inspired outfit after being apprehended.

The White House's announcement of the arcade website invited players to "Build the wall. Deport. Fill a Trump Account. CAN'T STOP WINNING. Build the wall. Deport. Fill a Trump Account. LIVE - PLAY NOW." This call to action is accompanied by links to the various games.

In addition to these games, the site also features "Supply Line" and "Trump Savings Tycoon," both of which allude to other Trump administration policies. "Supply Line" tasks players with sorting school lunch ingredients to "make America healthy again," discouraging the inclusion of foods with seed oil, coloring, additives, and sealed packaging.

"Trump Savings Tycoon" invites players to "fill your kids Trump accounts" by catching cash and diamonds with a net. A White House official described the arcade site as an effort to emphasize the contrast between a culture of fun and winning and the "dark socialist vision Democrats have for America."
