Washington Football Looking to Expand Recruiting Reach at Apple Cup

This weekend, the Washington Huskies will not only participate in the Apple Cup but also host 41 recruits for unofficial visits. These high school prospects, spanning the 2027, 2028, and 2029 classes, come from various states across the United States. While most of the teams are from Washington's traditional West Coast recruiting areas, the Huskies aim to broaden their reach nationwide.

Among the 2027 commits are four-star wide receiver Tre Moore from Pflugerville Weiss High School in Texas and four-star edge rusher Chaz Gray from St. Joseph Regional in New Jersey. Both players are ranked within the top 25 in their respective states. The majority of the 26 juniors visiting are 2028 prospects, with 12 of them coming from out of state.

The list includes notable talents such as Five-Star offensive lineman Antijuan Wilkes from Cass Tech in Michigan, Five-Star wide receiver DeAndre Bidden from Harper Woods, Michigan, and Four-Star linebacker Tahj Gray from St. Joseph Regional, New Jersey. Fisch, known for establishing Washington as a strong recruiter with top-rated classes in 2025 and 2026, is leading the charge in expanding the program's recruiting footprint beyond the traditional West Coast areas.
