UAE weather: Rain forecast as temperatures rise and winds reach 40kmph

Saturday may bring rain to certain parts of the United Arab Emirates as convective clouds form over eastern regions during the afternoon, according to the National Centre of Meteorology. The forecast calls for fair to partly cloudy skies across most of the country, with some patches of eastern clouds developing into convective formations that could produce rainfall.

Temperatures are expected to climb to a high of 46°C in interior areas, ranging from 41°C to 46°C, while coastal and island regions will see slightly cooler conditions between 37°C and 42°C. In mountainous areas, temperatures will hover between 30°C and 39°C. Light to moderate winds will prevail, blowing primarily from the southeast to northeast at speeds of 10 to 25km/h, with occasional gusts reaching up to 40km/h in interior and mountainous locales, and 35km/h along the coastline.

The atmosphere will become more humid on Saturday night and into Sunday morning over some coastal sections, potentially giving rise to mist. The Arabian Gulf will experience slight to moderate sea conditions at times, while the Oman Sea will remain relatively calm. Sunday is also forecast to be largely cloudy, with another chance of convective clouds emerging over eastern regions in the afternoon.

Humidity is anticipated to rise again on Sunday night and Monday morning over certain coastal zones. Winds will remain light to moderate, occasionally picking up to 35km/h. On Monday, the weather will be fair to partly cloudy, with a slight chance of cloud cover developing in eastern areas. The pattern of fair to partly cloudy conditions is expected to persist through Tuesday and Wednesday, with no rain mentioned in the present forecast.

Early in the week, winds will transition from southeasterly to northeasterly, before shifting to southwesterly to northwesterly by Tuesday and Wednesday, with speeds generally ranging from 10 to 25km/h, occasionally surging to 35km/h. The sea will maintain a slight status in both the Arabian Gulf and Oman Sea throughout the beginning of next week.
