UAE Team Emirates-XRG announces contract extension for Tadej Pogačar through 2032

UAE Team Emirates-XRG has announced that Tadej Pogačar will extend his contract with the team until the conclusion of the 2032 season, solidifying the long-term partnership between the team and the top athlete of his era. The Swiss rider, who joined the team in 2019, has been instrumental in the team's successes and shares a deep bond with the organization.

However, Pogačar will not participate in any races during the remaining part of the 2026 season following his unfortunate crash at the Vuelta a España. The team has heeded his wishes and given him the required time to recuperate without imposing a specific timeline for his return to competition.

After reviewing his medical condition with the team's medical and performance staff, it was decided that Tadej's recovery should be the top priority. Dr. Adrian Rotunno, Medical Director, confirmed that Pogačar is making progress following surgery but acknowledged the complexity of his injuries, which include a concussion, a stable C7 cervical fracture, and an open clavicle fracture.
