Troops neutralise suspected terrorist, recover four motorcycles in Katsina

Operation FANSAN YAMMA troops neutralised one suspected terrorist and recovered four motorcycles, a mobile phone, and five empty intravenous drip containers in Katsina State on Friday, September 4, 2026. The operation took place in the Yantumaki Forest area of Dan Musa Local Government. Acting on intelligence about terrorists in the region, Sector 1 of the Joint Task Force North West launched a coordinated offensive.

The troops engaged the terrorists, forcing them to flee into the surrounding bushes. Upon further inspection, the troops confirmed the death of one terrorist. The recovered motorcycles, mobile phone, and drip containers suggest the group may have been treating wounded terrorists, potentially from previous operations. This success is part of Operation FANSAN YAMMA's ongoing efforts to disrupt terrorist networks and restrict their movement in the Joint Operations Area.
