TET To Be Held Offline For First Time In Madhya Pradesh After Supreme Court Order, Says CM Mohan Yadav

Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh: The Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) will be held offline for the first time in the state, following a Supreme Court order, announced Chief Minister Mohan Yadav at a Teachers' Day event in Bhopal on Saturday. The ceremony took place at the RCVP Noronha Academy of Administration and Management, where Governor Mangubhai Patel and CM Yadav honored 33 distinguished educators for their contributions to education.

Yadav emphasized the government's ongoing efforts to enhance educational quality, improve teacher facilities, and create more opportunities for students. He also noted that the administration was making decisions in the best interests of teachers, striving to boost their respect, benefits, and prospects. During the event, some women teachers dressed in black were briefly prevented from entering the venue due to concerns about potential protests.

However, these individuals were ultimately permitted to enter. Organizers pointed out the limited seating available in the hall. Ajita Dwivedi, a teacher from Sidhi, finally received the Governor's Award for Innovation in Education after a six-year legal and departmental struggle. She had been selected for the 2020 award but her recognition was delayed after another educator made allegations against her.

Following a High Court directive, the education department reviewed her case and ultimately awarded her at the 2026 ceremony.
