Serena Williams and Venus Williams, the renowned sisters of tennis, have concluded their doubles journey at the US Open. Ultimately, Chan and Joint emerged victorious, triumphing in three sets with a score of 3-0, 6-7 (6), and 7-6 (10-7).

After losing the opening set, Venus and Serena staged an impressive comeback, forcing a 10-point tiebreak. However, they were unable to secure the win, falling short with a score of 6-3, 6-7 (6), and 7-6 (10-7). Following the match, the sisters embraced and congratulated their opponents, as reported by ESPN. The official U.S. Open account shared a video of the sisters waving to the crowd as they departed the stadium, expressing their admiration for the sisters' competitive spirit.

The sisters' return to doubles was a long-awaited comeback, having initially planned to team up at Wimbledon. However, Serena, 44, suffered a knee injury during a singles match shortly before the tournament, forcing them to withdraw from the event. This setback led to their late appearance at the Cincinnati Open, where they lost their first match together in nearly four years to Marta Kostyuk and Peyton Stearns.

Despite the challenges, Venus, 46, expressed their determination to reunite on the doubles court, stating, "We waited a long time to get back on the doubles court, even this year. I think eventually we would find our way to each other."

Serena, a 23-time Grand Slam singles champion, returned to tennis for the first time since 2022 on June 9, competing in a doubles match at the Queen’s Club Championship in London alongside Canadian Victoria Mboko, 19. The pair emerged victorious in straight sets, with a score of 7-6, 6-2.
