Riley Herbst Cleared to Race Following Concussion Diagnosis

Riley Herbst, the driver of the No. 35 car, has been diagnosed with a concussion following a crash at the Dollar Tree 301 in New Hampshire two weeks ago. The injury forced him to miss the Coke Zero Sugar 400 at Daytona, where he was replaced by Harrison Burton. Herbst has now been confirmed as 100 percent healthy and cleared to race again.

Despite passing all his tests leading up to Daytona, Herbst woke up on Saturday feeling unwell and struggled with symptoms, which he described as the worst he had felt since the concussion. Herbst decided it was best for him to step aside at Daytona and wait until he was fully recovered. Ahead of Sunday night's Cook Out Southern 500 at Darlington, Herbst is ready to return to racing.

The Las Vegas native will be joining the Legacy Motor Club in 2027, where he will drive the No. 84 Toyota. Herbst expressed his belief that this move will take his career to the next level, noting that every driver goes through a learning curve. He is looking forward to the challenges ahead.
