President Droupadi Murmu emphasizes the importance of honoring teachers on Teachers' Day, urging India to recognize and respect these individuals who nurture knowledge, skills, values, and motivation in students. She reflects on the wisdom of past leaders, Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan and Dr A P J Abdul Kalam, who both valued teaching above all else.

President Murmu shares her personal experiences with inspiring teachers who went beyond the classroom, extending their guidance and affection even after school hours.

The Sanskrit proverb "Sarvatra vijayam icchet, shishyat icchet parajayam" encourages teachers to wish for their students' success over their own.
