Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh - A segment of ground outside the eight-story Amraveli residential complex in the Danish Kunj area reportedly collapsed following intense rainfall on Saturday, trapping several parked vehicles. Rescue teams responded to the incident by employing a crane to extract the vehicles. The affected area is reported to be just 5-10 feet from the building, prompting concerns over the foundation's stability and the structural integrity of nearby constructions.

Locals have expressed apprehension that further land slippage or an increase in water levels of the Kaliyasot River could exacerbate the problem. The situation has also sparked concerns about construction practices in the Kaliyasot catchment region, with some residents alleging that a boundary wall built close to the river may be impeding its natural flow.

Environmental concerns and restrictions regarding construction near the river and its catchment have been noted in this area previously. As the monsoon persists, residents are wary of additional rainfall potentially leading to more soil erosion and damage to surrounding properties. Emergency services, including police and administrative officials, were on-site, and rescue operations were conducted late at night.
