Nonthaburi woman calls police at 3am over gecko in her room

At 3am on September 4, a woman in Nonthaburi called the police after a gecko entered her dormitory room, according to Rattanathibet Police Station. Patrol officers from the station responded to the call received at the radio center about an unusual request for assistance. Upon arrival, the woman and a dormitory caretaker informed the officers that the gecko had found its way into the room, prompting their arrival.

The officers and caretaker searched the room, checking gaps and potential hiding spots, for nearly 30 minutes before concluding that the gecko was no longer present. Considering the late hour and potential disturbance to other residents, the officers decided to cease their search. They advised the woman to contact the caretaker if the gecko returned.

Rattanathibet Police Station superintendent Pruet Chamroonsart emphasized that police should respond to any genuine calls for help, even if the issue seems minor, as individuals may need assistance in such situations. He also noted that the police can coordinate with rescue organizations if needed, making them a safer point of contact compared to asking individuals for help late at night.
