Ndindi Nyoro set for Kirinyaga visit as he extends his political muscles

Kirinyaga County is set to host a visit from Kiharu Member of Parliament, Ndindi Nyoro, on Sunday, September 6, 2026. Nyoro aims to extend his political reach in preparation for the 2027 General Election. On the day of his visit, Nyoro will grace the ACK Church Kangaita in Kirinyaga County, inviting residents to join him at the church service.

In a post shared on his X account, Nyoro emphasized the theme of African solidarity with the words, "Tomorrow we’ll be at ACK Church Kangaita, Kirinyaga County. Karibuni sana. We are African and Africa is our Business."

The Kirinyaga visit follows Nyoro's recent expansion of his People's Party of Kenya (PPK) outreach activities. The day before his Kirinyaga engagement, Nyoro had stepped up his political mobilisation drive in Kiambu County, engaging in multiple public meetings. Over the past weeks, Nyoro has intensified his grassroots activities under the PPK banner, leveraging public gatherings and other engagements to promote the party and advance his political agenda.

Nyoro's People's Tour commenced in Mukuyu, Murang'a, where he launched the party's grassroots mobilisation programme and called upon opposition leaders to cooperate ahead of the 2027 General Election. The increased political engagements in Kiambu and the upcoming Kirinyaga visit indicate an expanding political outreach in the Mount Kenya region, where parties and leaders are already positioning themselves for the upcoming election.

Nyoro assumed leadership of the PPK in August 2026, following his departure from the ruling United Democratic Alliance (UDA). Since then, he has been positioning the party within the opposition landscape and expressing his intention to collaborate with other opposition leaders. Nyoro's recent tours across various parts of the country aim to bolster the PPK's grassroots presence, attract new supporters, and attract political aspirants.

His latest Kirinyaga engagement is expected to further fuel speculation about the political alliances and formations that may materialize as the country approaches the 2027 General Election.
