Nollywood actress Oluebube Obio has come forward alleging she was coerced to attend an All Progressives Congress (APC) campaign event, stating her life and safety were not assured. The actress' claim came following criticism over footage showing her at the political gathering, prompting some Nigerians to question her presence at the event.

In a social media statement, Oluebube addressed the backlash, explaining there was more to her participation than what was visible and alleging blackmail. She expressed her intention to reveal the individuals responsible when the opportune moment presented itself, urging her supporters to pray for her well-being. Without naming the alleged perpetrators, the actress wrote, "I was actually forced to be in such settings, my life and safety is not guaranteed, if you watch the video closely, I myself felt so much discomfort and stressed up." She did not provide further details about the nature of her appearance at the APC campaign.
