Methu shares DCP itinerary for Nakuru rally

The Democracy for the Citizens Party (DCP) Secretary-General, Senator John Methu, has disclosed the party’s schedule for a public engagement tour in Nakuru County, as the party gears up for the 2027 General Election. Methu announced the itinerary on his social media platform on September 5, 2026, revealing that the tour would commence on the following day, September 6, 2026. The event aims to bolster the party’s presence in the county, with a series of church services and public rallies planned.

Methu will spearhead the party’s efforts during the Nakuru tour, as highlighted in an announcement. The DCP delegation’s journey starts with a church service at the Redeemed Gospel Christ Celebration Church in Solai at 9:00 am, followed by a rally in Bahati Constituency at Maili Kumi at 2:30 pm. The party will then hold a second rally at Maili Sita in Bahati at 4:00 pm, bringing together party supporters and local residents as they reinforce their grassroots outreach.

The Nakuru programme is part of DCP’s ongoing efforts to expand its grassroots structures nationwide, with the party increasingly leveraging public engagements to connect with citizens and articulate its political platform. Methu has assumed a more prominent role in coordinating DCP activities in recent weeks, particularly as the party leader, Rigathi Gachagua, is currently in the United States.
