Maruti Baleno facelift: Check look, prices & more

Bengaluru witnessed the launch of the facelifted Maruti Suzuki Baleno on a starting price of ₹6,09,900 (ex-showroom, Bengaluru). The premium hatchback boasts an updated engine, advanced safety features, ventilated seats, and various upgrades from the carmaker aiming to strengthen its premium offering. Hatchbacks are gaining traction as India's automakers shift focus away from SUVs, driven by increasing vehicle prices and the need for affordability.

Maruti Suzuki and Tata Motors are counting on feature-rich small cars to attract first-time buyers back to the market.

The Baleno facelift features a 1.2-litre Z-Series engine that delivers strong low-end torque. It is paired with either a five-speed manual or an automated manual transmission, and the facelift also includes a CNG automatic option. The most notable additions are adaptive cruise control, advanced emergency braking, and first-in-segment ventilated front seats. Other premium features include a Qi-certified active-cooled wireless charger, a Clarion sound system, a shark-fin antenna, and chrome fender garnish.

Exterior upgrades include a new grille, reprofiled front and rear bumpers, fresh alloy wheels, updated lighting, and a new Enigmatic Teal colour option. Maruti Suzuki has positioned the facelifted Baleno as a more premium product, emphasizing an enhanced customer experience to raise the bar for buyers. A special festive offer accompanies the launch, adding a seasonal push during the crucial car-buying period.

The Baleno remains a competitor in India's premium hatchback segment, alongside the Hyundai i20, Toyota Glanza, and Tata Altroz.
