Man Utd fans come from afar to meet Park, Brown, van der Sar

On Wednesday, more than 500 Manchester United fans, including several from overseas, descended upon the Matta travel fair in Kuala Lumpur for a chance to meet and greet club legends Park Ji-sung, Wes Brown, and Edwin van der Sar. The event attracted supporters not only from Malaysia but also from across the globe.

Adam Schwereb, a 52-year-old Manchester United memorabilia collector from Sydney, made the journey to attend the fair and meet the legends. He described the opportunity as "too good to be missed," emphasizing the global appeal of United supporters who travel to attend matches and the chance to meet their heroes in person.

Young Vietnamese fan Nguyen Danh Truong, 12, traveled from Ho Chi Minh City with his father to meet Park Ji-sung, Brown, and van der Sar. This meet-and-greet was the sole reason his father planned the trip, highlighting the strong fan base and loyalty of Manchester United supporters.

Wes Brown, Park Ji-sung, and Edwin van der Sar were present at the Malaysia Airlines display at the Matta fair. Bryan Foong, chief executive of the airline business at Malaysia Aviation Group, noted that the club's three-year partnership with Malaysia Airlines, which began in 2023, has been effective in boosting the airline's visibility and market presence.

The partnership has also generated buzz and attracted a large fan base for the airline, as Manchester United fans are known for their loyalty and widespread presence across the globe.
