Man held for abducting boy, 11, after marriage proposal for elder sister turned down

A 26-year-old man, identified as Dharam Pal, was arrested on Friday after a four-day manhunt to rescue an 11-year-old boy who was allegedly kidnapped by the man. The kidnapping occurred after the boy's family rejected Dharam Pal's marriage proposal for his elder sister. The boy, who went missing on August 31, was located near Azadpur Flyover in Delhi.

Dharam Pal allegedly consumed poison in an attempt to evade capture. He was immediately taken to a hospital for medical treatment. The investigation revealed Dharam Pal's motive was to force the family to agree to his marriage demand. The rescue was praised for the team's swift response, technical investigation, and field efforts. The probe into the incident is ongoing.
