Jodhpur Road Accident: Woman Killed As Speeding Dumper Crushes Bike, Mob Torches Truck | Video

A woman, identified as Manjesh, was killed and her husband, Ramniwas, sustained minor injuries after a speeding dumper truck ran over their motorcycle in Jodhpur, Rajasthan on Friday evening. The incident occurred when the dumper, loaded with concrete, dragged the woman's body for about 10 meters before coming to a stop, resulting in her death on the spot. Her husband, Ramniwas, escaped with only minor injuries.

Local residents were outraged by the accident and blocked a road in protest. The mob subsequently escalated the situation by thrashing the truck driver, who was subsequently taken into police custody. In the chaos, some members of the crowd set the truck on fire, and police are now working to identify those responsible for the arson.

The deceased and her husband were part of a group of around 20-25 devotees who had traveled to Ramdevra for prayers. They were returning from the pilgrimage site when the fatal accident occurred. According to the police, the motorcycle and the dumper were traveling side by side when the crash took place. A young man who was with the group stated that they had initially planned to take a different route but accidentally got lost and ended up traveling through the area where the accident happened. Police are currently investigating the circumstances leading to the crash and the subsequent arson.
