Indore Gets Chamber of Commerce's Madhya Pradesh Chapter; New Platform To Woo National & Global Investors

Indore, Madhya Pradesh, witnessed the inauguration of the Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC) MP Chapter on Friday. The new platform aims to boost industrial and business investment in the state, making it more appealing to both national and global investors. Young entrepreneur Ankit Mehta was appointed as the inaugural chairman of the chapter.

Esteemed members from the industrial sector, government, and international trade and investment communities were present at the launch event held at the Brilliant Convention Centre. Tapan Agrawal was designated as the co-chair of the MP Council.

The primary objective of the chapter is to attract substantial national and international investment to the state, bolster existing industrial hubs, and cultivate an inviting atmosphere for the emergence of new international clusters. A standout aspect of the launch was a special panel discussion on international investment and opportunities within the state.

The discourse featured perspectives from foreign corporations on India, their anticipations, potential challenges when investing in the nation, and strategies to enhance MP's attractiveness as an investment destination compared to other prominent industrial states.

Walter Ferreira, consul general of Italy in Mumbai; Srinath Upadhyay, marketing director at Advantage Austria India (Austrian Commercial Office, Mumbai); and Aditya Phatak, director at Bower Group Asia (BGA), India, participated in the panel discussion. Since its inception, the ICC MP Chapter has garnered over 50 members, with membership currently facilitated through an invitation-based system.
