Indian tourist seriously hurt in Pattaya hotel fall

An Indian traveler was gravely injured after falling from a seven-story hotel in Pattaya, Thailand, on September 4. The incident occurred early in the morning at a hotel located on Soi Buakhao 15, in Nong Prue subdistrict, Bang Lamung district, Chonburi province. Emergency services were alerted at precisely 6:49 am, when they discovered the man in the ground-floor parking area.

The victim, identified as Abhishek, 42, sustained both broken wrists and severe back injuries, and exhibited signs of alcohol consumption. Despite his consciousness and ability to communicate, he expressed severe back pain. He was immediately provided with initial medical assistance at the scene before being transported to Pattaya Memorial Hospital via ambulance.

Abhishek originally arrived in Pattaya as part of a tour group from India, checking into room 312 on the third floor the night before the accident. Hotel staff confirmed that tour group members sometimes exchange rooms unofficially, but the exact room or floor from which Abhishek fell remains under investigation. The hotel assured travelers that the victim holds travel insurance covering approximately 500,000 baht, and authorities coordinated the use of this policy to aid his medical treatment.

The Pattaya City Police found no evidence of foul play at the scene and concluded that the most probable cause of the fall was alcohol intoxication. Authorities are reviewing CCTV footage of the area and will notify the tour leader and Abhishek's family. So far, no public statement has been released by the tour operator or Indian consular officials.
