Nearly a decade after their last show, Jenna Elfman and Thomas Gibson, stars of Dharma & Greg, reunited to surprise fans by reappearing in an episode of Two and a Half Men. The Season 9 premiere of Two and a Half Men, originally intended to showcase Ashton Kutcher's debut as Walden Schmidt, featured a cameo appearance from Elfman and Gibson.

Scheduled to debut without Charlie Sheen, Kutcher's character Walden Schmidt was about to sign a Malibu beach house purchase when the familiar couple, Elfman and Gibson, checked out the property. Elfman, playing a free-spirited woman, commented on the home's feng shui, while Gibson, portraying an uptight man, complained about the potential commute.

Their bickering even included a tease of a divorce before they exited the scene. To maintain the element of surprise, Elfman and Gibson weren't part of the regular filming schedule. Instead, they were brought in a few days later to execute their cameo on a closed set. This covert approach ensured the cameo remained a secret until airtime.

Both actors were required to sign non-disclosure agreements to maintain the secrecy. Gibson, reflecting on the experience, joked about the scene feeling like a "family reunion" given the shared history between the Two and a Half Men and Dharma & Greg production teams.
