Hadi dakwa PAS pernah ditawar AS perjatuh kerajaan

Presiden parti pasukan Malaysia (PAS), Hadi Awang, claimed that the United States (AS) once approached the party to topple the government during former US President Barack Obama's visit to Malaysia in 2014. The incident allegedly occurred when Obama was touring Malaysia, and some PAS leaders were invited for a meeting at the US Embassy.

Hadi stated that Takiyuddin Hassan and Ahmad Samsuri Mokhtar, his political advisors at the time, went to the embassy for the meeting. "I want to tell you, during Obama's visit to Malaysia, we were still in the coalition of parties, and they invited us to meet at the US Embassy," Hadi recounted during the annual PAS National Convention speech at Putik, Kelantan.

Hadi added that the two PAS leaders were not influenced by the offer and remained committed to their party's stance of rejecting it. "Alhamdulillah, both of us are steadfast because we do not want to be influenced," he said. After the meeting, the US ambassador requested a meeting with Hadi, which he agreed to, accompanied by Mustafa Ali.

The ambassador asked Hadi who PAS would choose as the next prime minister, to which Hadi replied, "Who would the US choose? Let them say it," Hadi recounted. Two days later, Takiyuddin Hassan confirmed the story, asserting that his party would not accept interference from any foreign power in Malaysia's domestic politics. He emphasized that their domestic political decisions should not be influenced by external forces.
