FRSC to divert traffic on Kaduna-Zaria highway Sunday

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has announced a one-day traffic diversion on the Kaduna-Zaria segment of the A2 Highway on Sunday, September 6, 2026. According to a post by the FRSC on its X account, the diversion will occur at DK825, Kwaranza Village, where the highway intersects with the Kaduna-Kano Rail Line, from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The temporary traffic arrangement aims to facilitate the inspection of railway bridge beams as part of the Kaduna-Kano Rail Modernization Project.

During this period, only one lane of the dual carriageway will be accessible to traffic. The FRSC has deployed caution signs, cones, and diversion markers at the site, with patrol teams present to manage traffic and ensure road user safety. Motorists are advised to reduce speed, exercise caution, and avoid overtaking around the diversion.

It is also recommended to plan journeys and use alternative routes to minimize delays. The FRSC urges road users to strictly follow all traffic control devices and instructions from FRSC personnel.
