Fernandez and Ndiaye show signs of promise on Man City debuts

Manchester City signed two players for £185 million on transfer deadline day and gave them their Premier League debuts in a 1-0 victory over Coventry City. Midfielder Enzo Fernandez, purchased from Chelsea for £125 million, was initially a substitute but came on as a starter after teammate Nico O'Reilly injured himself in warm-ups.

Youngster Iliman Ndiaye, who cost £60 million, also played from the beginning. Both new signings demonstrated early potential during their debut matches, as manager Enzo Maresca noted their ease in adapting to City's style of play. Fernandez, who had previously worked with Maresca at Chelsea, excelled in creating chances and linking up with Erling Haaland, while Ndiaye showcased his dribbling skills and pace.

City maintained their perfect start to the season, thanks in part to goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma's stellar performance. The club revealed that they have several other promising players, such as Elliot Anderson, who continues to develop and impress.
