Egyptian Meteorological Authority announces rainfall across Egypt

The Egyptian Meteorological Authority predicts that the Indian monsoon low responsible for the current heatwave in Egypt will dissipate starting mid-September. They also forecast heightened wind activity throughout much of the country during nighttime hours. By the end of September, temperatures in most regions are anticipated to decrease by up to six degrees Celsius, with some areas receiving rainfall.

Across the first half of September, temperatures in Greater Cairo and most other parts of the country are expected to range from 35 degrees Celsius during the day to up to 38 degrees Celsius in Upper Egypt. Humidity levels are projected to decrease during this period. On Saturday, the weather will be moderately hot and humid at night and early morning, transitioning into very hot conditions during the day in Greater Cairo and northern Egypt, as well as in southern Egypt.

Saturday is predicted to feature occasionally active winds in certain areas, with gusts ranging from 30-35 kilometers per hour. This could potentially stir up sand and dust in parts of Upper Egypt and the Red Sea Governorate. Stronger winds are also likely to develop along some beaches in Marsa Matrouh, e l – Alamein, Alexandria, Baltim, Gamasa, Damietta, and Port Said, resulting in waves reaching heights of 1.5 to 2 meters in September.
