Ceuta causa otro choque entre la Justicia y el Ejecutivo por la reserva de un informe policial

A detailed account of the request by the judge María Tardón from the National Court, to keep silent about a police report on the influx of around 70,000 migrants into Ceuta on July 30th and 31st, has strained the relationship between the justice system and the government. The police commissioner general of Extranjería y Fronteras, Julián Ávila, informed his superiors in extensive detail about the situation.

Within a document sent to the police leadership, it was revealed that the judge had requested "maximum confidentiality" from her team members via a phone call, ten days after the assignment. This incident has led to a major conflict between the government and the judiciary. Interior Minister Fernando Grande-Marlaska expressed his frustration on Thursday, stating he was left out of the document's drafting process, which he deemed "of great interest" for the Executive to execute its constitutional duties accurately.

However, both the president of the Judiciary and the Government of the National Court argue that it's necessary to preserve the independence of justice.
