Asif, Manshaullah inaugurate upgraded Social Security Hospital

On Saturday, Federal Minister for Defence Khawaja Muhammad Asif and Punjab Provincial Minister for Labour and Human Resources Muhammad Manshaullah Butt inaugurated the Social Security Hospital upgrade project located on Daska Road, Sialkot. Among the attendees were various representatives, including Deputy Commissioner Awais Mushtaq, MNA Syeda Nosheen Ifthar, MPA Chaudhry Faisal Ikram, and many others.

Asif emphasized that upgrading the hospital was essential to ensuring quality healthcare for factory workers and their families in Sialkot. He stressed that millions of people in the region were associated with the industrial sector, and the government's priority was providing them with basic facilities, including healthcare. The upgraded hospital would become a modern healthcare institution to meet the medical needs of these workers and their dependents.

The Defence Minister also addressed the issue of corruption, stating that systematic measures had been initiated in Punjab to combat it. He highlighted a recent incident at the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) as a warning, emphasizing that corruption and personal financial interests should not take precedence over saving human lives.

Asif noted that significant improvements had been made in the health sector in Punjab during the past two and a half years and that the government was taking further steps to bring healthcare closer to the people.

Punjab Minister for Labour and Human Resources Manshaullah Butt echoed Asif's sentiments, highlighting the importance of modern, quality, and timely healthcare for the industrial community and workers of Sialkot. He emphasized the province's top priority was to provide such facilities, aligning with Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif's vision. Butt also highlighted the government's efforts to make social security institutions more effective and modern, utilizing all available resources to benefit industrial workers.
