Around Town: Inside Nepali Tales, a cloud kitchen in Thane that failed twice before Prajakta Koli called it ‘the best momos in India’

Content creator-actor Prajakta Koli recently praised Nepali Tales, a cloud kitchen in Thane, for serving "the best momos in India." Ashika and Dipesh Pradhan, the couple behind the business, hail from Jaigaon, West Bengal, and have been running Nepali Tales since January 2026. They started by failing at their first attempt, Momo Ghar, but eventually reopened as Nepali Tales after taking a break.

The duo prepares 25-30 orders daily, with a maximum capacity of 70-80 plates a day. They work from 6 am to 9 pm, with Ashika's sister assisting them in the evening. Their success can be attributed to their passion for cooking and their desire to serve authentic Nepali-style momos.
